Honda City e:HEV Hybrid India Bookings Open

The Honda City e:HEV Hybrid has finally broken cover, and it will go on sale in May of this year. The Japanese automaker has already begun taking reservations for its newest addition, with deliveries set to begin next month, after the vehicle is released in our market. In India, the conventional Honda City is available in three trim levels: V, VX, and ZX, however the City e:HEV will only be available in the top-of-the-line ZX form.

What We Know So Far

Honda Teases the 2022 City Hybrid Ahead of Its Launch

The Honda City e:HEV is driven by the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder normally aspirated petrol engine as the conventional sedan, but it’s aided by an electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery pack incorporated in the trunk. The system produces a total power output of 124 bhp, with a peak torque of 253 Nm, of which the petrol engine generates 127 Nm. Of course, the hybrid technology has improved the City e:total HEV’s fuel economy, which has increased by roughly 40% to a reported 26.5 kmpl. And this is despite a 110-kilogram weight gain.

The Honda City e:HEV also has three driving modes: EV, hybrid, and petrol, which are selected through a rotary knob. In EV mode, the car operates entirely on electric power when the throttle is gently applied. (alprazolam) At all four corners, the Honda City e:HEV gets new disc brakes.

Design And Features

In terms of design, the automobile is similar to the normal car, and the inside is likewise unchanged. It also comes with an electronic parking brake and an auto hold system, as well as ambient lighting. Lane change assist, pedestrian warning, and adaptive cruise control are among the new Honda City e:safety HEV’s features. However, in order to fit in the battery pack, the boot space has been reduced to some amount. The Honda City e:HEV has a boot size of 410 litres, which is 96 litres smaller than the conventional Honda City, which has a trunk space of 506 litres.
