India Made Aprilia RS440 To Be Unveiled Tomorrow

The present two-wheeler market is booming, with numerous manufacturers producing new models or updating existing models. Aprilia, an Italian motorcycle manufacturer, is also preparing to debut an all-new motorcycle, the Aprilia RS 440, which has been in development for quite some time. The good news is that, following the release of a teaser just a few days ago, the business will be globally showcasing its sub-500cc supersport for the first time. The motorcycle has been spotted multiple times recently, revealing details about the future model.

Aprilia RS440 Features

According to the test mule and teaser photographs, the RS 440 borrows design cues from its larger sibling, the RS 660. The bike has a split-LED headlamp with LED DRL strips and a windscreen on top. The strong lines and rough shapes of the side fairing and small tail section retain the athletic design language.

Aprilia RS440 Powertrain

The RS 440 will be powered by a brand-new 440cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled mill, most likely developed from the RS 660 motor. The engine is projected to generate roughly 48 horsepower and will be connected to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch and a quick-shifter. A TFT color display with smartphone connectivity, LED lighting all around, traction control, riding modes, and dual-channel ABS are among the other amenities and rider aids.

The Aprilia RS 440 will have an inverted fork layout at the front and a monoshock at the back. Disc brakes on both ends will handle braking responsibilities. The motorcycle will also have lightweight alloy wheels.

Aprilia RS440 Price & Rivals

The RS 440 is expected to be launched earlier in 2024, with a price tag of Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom). Following the worldwide introduction, Aprilia is likely to launch the RS 440 in India, because the RS 440 is manufactured at the brand’s Baramati plant. On the competitive front, the Rs 440 will face the next Yamaha YZF-R3, KTM RC 390, and Kawasaki Ninja 400.
