Kia EV9 Car Features And Specification
Kia India was present at the Auto Expo 2023, where it displayed the KA4 (Carnival) and the freshly announced EV6, as well as the EV9 Concept. The Kia EV9 Concept drew a lot of attention at the Korean automaker’s expo exhibit, and here are the top five attractions of the vehicle.
Front Fascia With Futuristic Design
The EV9 is unmistakably a Kia concept, complete with the distinctive tiger face and a closed-off grille design. The grille is bordered by L-shaped LED patterns that are elegantly incorporated. The slim LED headlights are flanked by vertically stacked L-shaped LED DRLs. The hood is smoothed out, and the Kia emblem is engraved on the broad bonnet with an upright angle. The SUV’s front bumper features a vertical line pattern grille with a silver skid plate, giving it a highly contemporary appearance.
Dimensions and Layout
The Kia EV9 Concept is built on the E-GMP platform and is around 4,900mm in length, making it the largest electric SUV based on this platform. The EV9 Concept has a particularly imposing and towering stance on the sides, thanks to its 3,099mm wheelbase, flared wheel arches, enormous aero-designed wheels, wide window area, and smooth yet wrinkled bodywork.
The Concept has a vertically stacked tail light system with a large silver skid plate in the bumper at the back. Furthermore, the projecting roof spoiler and smooth boot lid with a single line extending across the width of the rear quarter-to-quarter enhance the EV9 Concept’s futuristic and basic design language.
Interior Design and Characteristics
The EV9 Concept has a massive 27-inch dual-screen configuration and an oval-shaped steering wheel with touch sensitive controls on it as well as beneath the infotainment unit. The inside of the EV9 Concept is simple in character due to the lack of physical buttons and an enlarged centre console with a long armrest and storage below it.
Seating Arrangement
The electric vehicle EV9 will be a full-size SUV with three rows of seats. Furthermore, the second row of the EV9 can be folded fully flat, and the front row seats can be swivelled around to provide lounge-style seating area. The flooring is composed of recycled fishnets, as is the chair fabric, which is constructed of recycled plastic bottles and wool fibres.
Powertrain and Battery
The Kia EV9 in production will most likely be powered by a 77.4kWh battery pack. While the power output estimates are not yet available, the manufacturer says that the electric SUV will support a fast charger with a charging period of roughly 20 minutes for 10% to 80%.
