Mahindra intends to release a number of new SUVs on the domestic market, and we have listed all of the anticipated models here. Customers have responded favourably to the brand’s recent launches, which include the Scorpio N last year, an entirely new XUV700 in late 2020, and the second generation Thar.
Priced between Rs. 11.99 lakh and Rs. 23.90 lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries of the Mahindra Scorpio N will start on September 26, 2022, throughout India. On September 8, the XUV400 electric SUV, which is based on the ICE XUV300, will be unveiled, and it will go on sale soon to compete with Tata Nexon EV.
Another model set for release this year, the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus, can accommodate more passengers than the standard Bolero Neo. The five-door Thar has undergone extensive testing on public roads by the domestic SUV expert, and it is anticipated that it will hit showrooms by the middle of next year to compete with the five-door Jimny and Gurkha.
Upcoming Mahindra SUVs
In order to compete with a number of midsize SUVs, Mahindra is also reportedly working on the next-generation XUV500, which may be placed below the current XUV700. The company recently debuted a number of concepts under its two sub-brands, XUV.e and BE, outlining its ambitious plans for electrification (Born Electric). Their specifications and the date of launch have already been disclosed.
The XUV800 (XUV.e8), the first pure EV built on the INGLO platform, is scheduled to go on sale in December 2024 and will have all-wheel drive, while the XUV.e9 won’t be available until April 2025. This SUV coupe, which is based on the XUV Aero concept, will feature a panoramic sky roof and cutting-edge technology.
The BE.05 is designated as a “Sports Electric Vehicle” and will go on sale in October 2025. Its dimensions are 4,370 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,635 mm in height, and it has a 2,775 mm wheelbase. Contrarily, the production-spec BE.09 won’t make its debut until October 2026, when the Mahindra BE.07 will. It should be noted that there are also rumors about the next-generation Bolero.
