Film director Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli, often known as SS Rajamouli, has rewarded himself with a new luxury car after the success of his recent directorial ‘RRR.’ The award-winning director just received a Volvo XC40 at his home in Hyderabad, which fits his image as a simpleton while also being a premium vehicle.
The XC40 was purchased by SS Rajamouli in a Fusion Red dual-tone paint scheme with a black roof. It’s the same T4 R-Design variation, which is also the XC40’s only fully-loaded variant available in India. The Volvo XC40 T4 R-Design is now priced at Rs 44.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Volvo Cars India has posted a photo of Rajamouli receiving his XC40 on its social media accounts. SS Rajamouli also owns a BMW 7-Series and a Range Rover, so the XC40 is the third luxury automobile in his collection.

About SS Rajamouli Volvo XC40
During the BS6 period, Volvo reintroduced the XC40 in India as a petrol-only model. The XC40 debuted in India facelifted this time, with a revamped petrol powertrain, visual tweaks, and new amenities both inside and out.
The new Volvo XC40 features a piano black front grille, LED headlamps with Thor’s hammer-shaped daytime running LEDs, vertically stacked LED tail lamps, and machined alloy wheels on the outside. The XC40’s cabin is upholstered in soft-touch leather and has an all-black finish with piano black and aluminum inlays where appropriate.

Despite its small size and entry-level luxury car positioning, the Volvo XC40 is well-equipped with premium features such as a 12.3-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system powered by Google, a full-TFT instrument console, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon 600W music system, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more. Apart from standard features like seven airbags and front and rear park assist, Volvo is recognized for its safe cars, and the XC40 is no exception, with radar-based driver-support systems including distance alert, adaptive cruise control, and lane mitigation, and driver alerts.
The Volvo XC40’s only powertrain option is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with an 8-speed automated transmission that produces 187 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.
