One Moto, an electric car manufacturer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government to establish a manufacturing facility. According to the corporation, the new manufacturing plant will have considerable automation integration with extra semi-robotics and cutting-edge manufacturing technology to make cutting-edge items. The new plant will be located on the outskirts of Telangana’s capital, Hyderabad, and will cover 15 acres.

The One Moto Electa has a claimed top speed of 100 kmph, with a range of 150 km.

“We not only want to service our consumers in India with the new manufacturing factory, but we also want to export automobiles to other worldwide countries where One Moto is expanding. In the state of Telangana, there is a huge possibility to create jobs, not just in manufacturing, but also in rural areas. We’ll also work with the state to build up skill development programmes, as EV after-sales servicing necessitates a unique set of capabilities. We are excited to collaborate with the state government, which has been working hard to promote e-mobility. In the state, the factory will generate about 500 direct and indirect jobs. This development would benefit the overall development of the electric transportation ecosystem in a variety of ways “CEO Shubhankar Chaudhry commented.

Deliveries of the One Moto Electa electric scooter will begin from February 2022.

“With the new manufacturing plant, we not only want to serve our Indian customers, but we also want to export autos to other countries where One Moto is expanding. There is a big opportunity to create jobs in Telangana, not just in manufacturing, but also in rural areas. We’ll also collaborate with the government to develop skill development programmes, as EV after-sales service needs a distinct set of skills. We’re thrilled to cooperate with the state administration, which has been pushing for e-mobility for a long time. The factory will create approximately 500 direct and indirect jobs in the state. In a variety of ways, this growth would aid the entire development of the electric transportation ecosystem.” Shubhankar Chaudhry, CEO
