Queen Elizabeth II Net Worth – $500 Million
Her Majesty leaves behind more than $500 million in personal assets from her 70 years on the throne, which Prince Charles will inherit when he is crowned king. The queen’s personal wealth is linked to her substantial collections of art, jewellery, and a pair of private properties including Sandringham House and Balmoral Castle.
1. Daimler Super V8 LWB
The Daimler Super V8 could only ever belong to one prominent female driver because of its custom handbag holder, controls for hidden blue strobe lights, and phone fittings that allow direct communication with Downing Street. This Daimler served as the Queen’s personal vehicle for three years starting in 2001, travelling between Windsor Estate and Buckingham Palace.
2. Jaguar X-Type Estate
The Monarch enjoys taking the Long Walk through Windsor Great Park to get to church when she is staying at Windsor Castle in Berkshire. The Queen had to take to the grass last year after a young family failed to hear her Jaguar X-type estate approaching.
3. Rover P5B
Her Majesty owns and operates two of these Rovers, which are both housed at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire. James May from The Grand Tour once took one for a test drive but was devastated to discover there was no tin of boiled sweets in the glovebox:
4. Vauxhall Cresta Estate
Her Majesty is shown here driving a Vauxhall Cresta Estate in the 1980s, demonstrating that she doesn’t always need a luxury vehicle. Vauxhall continues to hold a royal warrant. Additionally, the Queen has been spotted operating an Omega and Insignia.
5. Land Rover Defender
The Queen has driven a variety of Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles. Over the course of her 70-year reign, she is believed to have owned 30 Land Rovers, ranging from Series I models to the new Defender and a number of opulent Range Rovers. But Her Majesty seems to have had the most admiration for the original Land Rover, which later went by the name Defender.
6. Range Rover
Although Her Majesty prefers the comfort of a Range Rover, she also enjoys the ruggedness of a Land Rover. She owns a stretched, open-top Range Rover LWB Landaulet, which is used in parades, and until recently (as a result of deteriorating health), she enjoyed driving the example shown above, which is decorated with Her Majesty’s unique bonnet mascot: a labrador holding a pheasant in its mouth.
7. Bentley Bentayga
Even though the styling of the £160,000 44 sparked controversy, the Queen didn’t seem to be put off by it. Bentley CEO Wolfgang Duerheimer said of the opulent British car, which was introduced in 2015 in, er, Germany, “We have reserved the number one car for her.” After testing it around the Balmoral Estate, the Queen is said to have been impressed with its capabilities.
8. Rolls-Royce Phantom VI
For her Silver Jubilee in 1978, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders gave The Queen this car. It is still a part of the Royal family and was used most recently by Prince Charles to stand in for The Queen at the State Opening of Parliament. It was also used for the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. It has a 6.75-liter V8 engine with about 220 horsepower.
9. Bentley State Limousines
The official state vehicles for the Queen are two Bentleys. For The Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002, a group of British car manufacturing and service companies gave her one, and the second was later added after being upgraded from the prototype. The Queen’s versions are even longer and taller and have armoured bodywork that is painted in claret and black. They are based on the Arnarge, the car brand’s full-size limo that was replaced by the Mulsanne. They also have blue flashing lights and puncture-resistant tyres.
