In October 2021, Tata Motors unveiled the Punch B-SUV to the nation, with a starting price of Rs. 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Pure MT variation, which is the entry-level model, is now priced at Rs. 6 lakh and beyond.
In India, the Tata Punch has officially reached the production milestone of three lakh units. Around ten months after its pricing announcement, in August, the model achieved the milestone of one lakh units sold. In May 2023, the next production milestone of two lakh units was reached. This year’s celebratory model is an upgraded version with a white roof and a dual-tone Tornado Blue paint.
There are presently four variations of the Tata Punch available: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. Clients have a broad selection of seven color options. The 1.2-liter NA petrol engine of the Hyundai Exter competitor is mated to an AMT and five-speed manual transmission. A CNG variant is also available.

The interiors of the Tata Punch get features such as a seven-inch, Harman-sourced touchscreen infotainment system, digital-analogue, instrument cluster, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls, rectangular AC vents with contrast coloured accents, drive modes (City and Eco), iRA technology and a height-adjustable driver seat.
