Tesla’s first operational Showroom will be in Bengaluru, while Mumbai, New Delhi shortlisted.
- According to reports company shortlisted New Delhi and Mumbai to expand their services and showroms. Company is also planning to sell the Imported Model 3 sedan as possible with targeted customers.
- Tesla is looking for commercial sites which have 20,000 to 30,000 square feet of space.

California based global EV leader Tesla looking for commercial properties in India to set-up there showroom and services. According to media report, company also hired executives to lead it’s lobbying and buissness effort ahead of its strategic entry for India subcontinent.
Company had registered a trademark in India via Amsterdam arm earlier in 2021.
Officially Company will be called as Tesla India Motors and Energy Private Limited from 8th January, in India’s silicon valley State of Karnataka and the registered address is in Lavelle Road, Bengaluru, with ₹15 lakh authorised capital and ₹1 lakh paid-up capital.
Tesla recently recruited Manoj Khurana to lead, also he is a former executive of investment promotion body Invest india.
Tesla has planning to enter in the Indian EV industry since 2016 but Indian infrastructure, policies and emobility lacks. However there has been so many suspence then for India entry in media as well in fans, but in October 2020 CEO said Tesla will be launching in 2021. The company has registered in Bengaluru as expected in 8th January.
Company also registered ‘Triton Electric Vehicle Private Limited’ as a Indian Subsidiary in New Delhi to get more exposure globally. Tesla is aiming to form a Indian entity to make India as biggeste EV market outside US. However, by manufacturing facility Tesla not only aiming the domestic Indian market but also company is planning to reach other markets such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Middle East region and Africa.
