Royal Enfield has expanded the Meteor 350 cruiser lineup by introducing the Aurora model. It differs from the other variants of the bike in a few ways and costs Rs. 2,19,900 (ex-showroom, Chennai), putting it between the Stellar and Supernova trims of the Meteor 350.
The new Aurora Meteor 350 has spoke wheels and tube tyres, as opposed to older variants, which have alloy wheels and tubeless rubbers. Furthermore, the engine case, exhaust system, and a few other components have been chrome-plated. All of this is done to enhance the bike’s classic appeal. Aurora package also includes a deluxe touring seat, Tripper navigation, a new Super Meteor 650-style LED headlamp, and aluminum switch cubes. RE has also introduced three new colors for the Aurora version: blue, green, and black.
Notably, Royal Enfield has also mildly upgraded the Supernova and Stellar models. While the former sports the new LED headlamp and aluminum switch cubes, the latter comes standard with the Tripper navigation gadget. In fact, all of these new features are available as accessories for any Meteor 350 model.
In every other way, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 stays intact. It is still driven by a 349cc air/oil-cooled engine that produces 20.2bhp and 27Nm and is paired to a five-speed transmission. It has 19-17-inch wheels and is suspended by telescopic forks up front and twin springs at the rear. A single disc at each ends with dual-channel ABS provides stopping power. The Meteor 350 weights 191kg (kerb) and has a gasoline tank capacity of 15 litres.
