Top Motorcycle Above 500cc Sales In August – RE 650, Harley, Triumph, Kawasaki, Suzuki

The popularity of Big Bikes or bikes with higher engine displacement has grown among bike enthusiasts in recent years. Also, these opportunities brought the premium brand to enter into the Indian market. Several brands like Harley Davidson, Kawasaki, Triumph, Ducati has their premium products on sale in India’s portfolio. Last month(Aug-2021) has witnessed 1247 motorcycle sales from the above 500cc segment.

Top Motorcycle Above 500cc Sales

India’s homegrown brand Royal Enfield tops the sales chart for Top Motorcycle Above 500cc Sales in August. The Royal Enfiled 650 Twins ( Interceptor and Continental GT) has managed to add 834 units to the company’s sales in August 2021. Although RE tops the chart, they have -3.47 percent of negative growth compared to Aug-2020.

Talking about the next bikes on the list, 2nd to 6th positions are secured by fairly new launches to the Indian market. Kawasaki has managed to sell 55 units of their flagship naked sportbike The Kawasaki Z900, whereas, Triumph has sold 43 units of the entry-level naked bike from the company Trident 660. On the 4th spot, Suzuki has their recently launched flagship supersport model The Suzuki Hayabusa which has been delivered to 42 customers in Aug.

Honda has managed to be in the top 5 with the midweight naked superbike Honda CBR650. While the British brand Triumph sold 27 units of the recently launched new generation Speed Twin. Kawasaki’s august sales have been deemed by -27.27% compared to August 2020 when the company sold 33 units of the Kawasaki Ninja 650 compared to 24 units in last month.

But in all the chaos Harley Davidson has sold 20 units of adventure tourer Pan America even after shutting down operations in the Indian market. The Harley bikes are now sold and managed by Hero Motocorp in India. Also, Harley hold the spot by selling 19 units of Low Rider instead of 7 units in Aug 2020. On the 10th position, Kawaski has managed to bring their third bike in the Top 10 with Kawasaki Ninja ZX 10-R. And we can say that the sibling bikes from Triumph which is Speed Triple and Street Twin also rank at 10th position with the same 14 units. (Phentermine)
