In India, Kawasaki has announced the launch of the KLX450R dirt bike in 2022. The specially developed off-road race motorcycle costs Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 50,000 higher than the previous model.
The bike’s 2022 edition is dressed in a new Lime Green colour scheme that includes a new set of decals. Kawasaki has altered the engine to provide more low-end torque than previously, making it simpler to get out of tight circumstances. In addition, the suspension design has been tweaked to accommodate more abuse and tougher terrain.
The 2022 KLX450R is powered by a 449cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine paired to a five-speed transmission. This engine is housed on a light-weight aluminium perimeter frame with long-travel upside-down forks in the front and a monoshock in the back. At both ends, petal-type disc brakes are used for braking. A Renthal aluminium handlebar and a small digital console are also included.
The 2022 Kawasaki KLX450R, like its predecessor, will be available in India as a CBU (completely built unit), with deliveries beginning in January 2022.
