2022 Kia Sonet Will Come With 4 Airbags Standard, More Feature & New Colours

Kia India has launched an updated Sonet subcompact SUV in the country. The 2022 model year adds four airbags as standard safety equipment, as well as a few new features and two new colour schemes. (eldiariony.com) Curtain airbags are now available on the 2022 Kia Sonet HTX+ trim, which were previously only available on the top-tier GTX+ trim. Hill assist control (HAC), electronic stability control (ESC), and vehicle stability management are all standard features on the HTK+ iMT variant (VMS). The tyre pressure monitoring system has also been made standard across the model lineup by the automaker. The HTK variant is outfitted with a digital instrument cluster. The 2022 Kia Sonet gets a new ‘Sonet’ badge on the outside. The SUV model lineup now includes Imperial Blue and Sparkling Silver paint schemes.

Engine options of the new 2022 Kia Sonet remains unchanged. The 83bhp, 1.2L petrol, 120bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol, and 115bhp, 1.5L diesel engines remain available for the subcompact SUV. There are five available transmissions: a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, an iMT, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic.

The updated Kia Sonet starts at Rs 7.15 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.79 lakh. The petrol variants cost between Rs 7.15 lakh and Rs 13.19 lakh, while the diesel models cost between Rs 8.89 lakh and Rs 13.79 lakh. The model line-up includes nine automatic variants priced between Rs 11.19 lakh and Rs 13.79 lakh. All of the prices listed above are ex-showroom. The updated model is approximately Rs 20,000 – Rs 30,000 more expensive than the previous model.
