Toyota has revealed more details about the new 2022 Toyota Veloz for the Malaysian market, and bookings have already begun. It has a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that drives only the front wheels via a CVT automatic transmission. The same engine is used in the Alza, producing 106 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of peak torque at 4,200 rpm.
2022 Toyota Veloz Price
The Toyota Veloz 2022 will be available in three single-tone paint schemes (Red Metallic, Metallic Bluish Black, and solid White) as well as two dual-tone paint schemes (Blue Metallic with a black roof and Silver Metallic with a black roof). While the price of the seven-seater MPV has yet to be revealed, it is expected to be around RM95,000 (Rs. 17.02 lakh) on-road.

2022 Toyota Veloz Features
The new Veloz has a hexagonal front grille with Y-shaped mesh, sporty fog lamp surrounds accented in chrome, sharper headlamps with sequential LED turn indicators, a horizontal chrome strip covering the width of the vehicle under the bonnet structure, muscular wheel arches, a thin red strip connecting the tail lamps, and other exterior features.
Other notable features include black-finished pillars, a rakish front windshield, a rear skid plate, black side skirts, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a large greenhouse. The interior includes a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options, automatic climate control, light grey trim on the door panels and dashboard, wireless charging, an electric parking brake, an auto brake hold function, six airbags, and other features.
2022 Toyota Veloz Safety Features
In terms of safety, Toyota offers the Toyota Safety Sense suite as standard, which includes features such as autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, and more.
The latest Toyota Veloz is already on the market in Thailand and Indonesia, and a Malaysian launch is expected soon. In India, Toyota will launch the Urban Cruiser Hyryder hybrid midsize SUV on August 16, followed by the new Urban Cruiser compact SUV, new-generation Innova, and Fortuner in the near future.
