R15 V4 Based Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 expected soon in India

New-gen The Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 is just one step away from entering the Indian two-wheeler market, and reservations have already begun. Some dealerships across the country have begun accepting booking orders with a token amount of Rs 5,000-10,000.

According to dealership sources, the 2022 MT-15 V2.0 will most likely have gold USD forks rather than telescopic front forks. With the expectation of an upgrade in the bike’s suspension system, the new shades will be added to its current paint scheme.

In addition, the MY2022 Yamaha MT-15 is expected to include a Bluetooth-enabled instrument console. There is no official word on a launch date, but it is expected to hit Indian roads by the end of this month. The last-generation model’s ex-showroom price was as high as Rs 1.50 lakh for the Monster Energy Edition, and after the incorporation of important features, it is likely to come with revised prices in the country.

To refresh your memory, Yamaha released the BS6-compliant MT-15 in February 2020. The BS6-compliant 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine produces a maximum power of 18.5HP @ 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9Nm @ 8,500 rpm. The power and torque figures of the BS6 engine are both 0.8HP and 0.8Nm lower when compared to the 19.3HP and 14.7Nm of torque provided by the BS4 version. The engine is still paired with a 6-speed transmission.
