All-new 2023 Hyundai Verna Production Will Start Soon In India – See Details

Hyundai Motor India, a subsidiary of the South Korean automaker Hyundai, is preparing to debut the 2023 version of its popular mid-size car, the Verna. The model will most likely go on sale in April of this year. And now, according to Autocar India, the business will begin manufacture of the model in India in March of this year. Hyundai intends to build around 70,000 vehicles of the new Verna per year.

According to sources, the majority of these automobiles will be sold to other key global auto markets. Hyundai presently manufactures 40,000 Vernas, but according to sales figures from last year, it only sells roughly 1603 vehicles every month on average. The bulk of the volume is still imported as of now, therefore considering the growth in volume, it’s not surprising that the firm will be exporting a large number of them.

According to rumours, one of the main reasons for the 2023 Verna’s increased production volume might be attributed to Hyundai’s decision to halt manufacture of the sedan at its St Petersburg facility in Russia. The South Korean automaker took this choice owing to a component scarcity in Russia as a direct result of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The corporation would most likely move production quantities to its two manufacturing factories in Tamil Nadu, India, at Irungattukottai and Sriperumbudur. Hyundai intends to make India a significant export base, shipping automobiles to the Middle East, Latin America, and a number of other worldwide markets.

For the longest time, the forthcoming Verna has been in development, and various test mules have been spotted testing around the country. According to another recent rumour on the 2023 Verna, the business is most likely intending to equip the new Verna with a more powerful 1.5 TGDI turbo petrol motor that will provide segment-leading power and torque.

According to reports, the 1.4-liter engine currently powering the Creta, Seltos, and Alcazar will not meet the new RDE regulations under Phase II of the BS6 transition, which is set to take place before April 2023, so the company is expected to debut an entirely new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol unit in India. As a result, the new Verna might also get this new engine. The full specifications of this engine are not yet known. However, rumo Rrs indicate that it may be capable of producing 260-265 Nm of peak torque and 160 PS of peak power. This engine may be equipped with either a manual or a DCT gearbox.

The new Verna will most likely have a split headlamp design with daytime running LEDs on top. It’ll also get a wider waistline and new diamond-cut alloy wheels. The new Verna will have a parametric grille, which was originally seen on the brand-new Tucson. The all-new 2023 Hyundai Verna will also have ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology, which will make the car safer.
