An updated 7′′ full-digital touchscreen monitor, a 1.3 GHz Snapdragon microprocessor, and the open-source Android operating system are all included in the Ather 450X Gen3 device.

  • Body & Design
Front DRLs

The new Ather 450X Gen 3 is available now. Nothing has changed in terms of appearance or design compared to its predecessor. This means customers will receive the futuristic and avant-garde style seen in the previous model. Additionally, the near-perfect fit and finish continue on the latest generation of the Ather 50. However, Ather has introduced new color options to set it apart from its predecessor.

The new color scheme is very attractive. In my opinion, the yellow-grey color of the scooter we were riding was particularly striking. It is light and airy. It is equipped with modern technology throughout. Headlights and indicator lights are both LEDs. The one-piece LED taillight at the rear remains unchanged as it still looks nice and attractive. However, we wish Ather had changed a few details, such as the small mirrors and headlight strips.

  • Dimensions
Indicators

Due to the new Ather, 450X Gen 3’s unchanged body and shape, the dimensions stay the same. But the Ather 450 has been praised ever since it was introduced for its nimble style and svelte ergonomics. The current new model is no different in this regard.

The Ather 450’s overall dimensions were created with Indian city traffic patterns and frequent parking challenges in mind. Owners of the Ather are pleased with its portability and simplicity of use. Additionally, unlike some of its rivals, it doesn’t have any extra wide-body panels. As a result, the ride through the cityscape is straightforward.

3. Performance

Battery & Boot space

The main difference between the new Ather 450X Gen 3 and previous models is undoubtedly the powertrain. Since its inception, the Ather has not had longer battery life. Meanwhile, rivals are starting to deliver better performance with nearly twice the driving range. So to get around this, Gen 3 now includes a larger 3.7 kWh battery.

In addition, the firmware has been updated, as well as the permanent magnet AC motor, which now produces more power and torque. It now has a peak power of 6200 volts and a top speed of up to 80 kilometers per hour. Meanwhile, the main improvement is in terms of initial performance or the ability to pick up when stationary.

4. Mileage

Charging Port

With a 0 to 60 mph time of 6.94 seconds, the Ather 450X is the perfect motorcycle for commuting in urban areas. It currently boasts a riding range of up to 146 kilometers per charge. On the other hand, the rear riding range varies based on the type of road and the volume of traffic. According to Ather, a fast charger can fully recharge a depleted battery in about 5 hours and 45 minutes.

5. Price & Variants

Variants & Colors

The Ather Scooter costs Rs. 1.17 Lakh ex-showroom in Delhi. There are two models of the 450X available. Ather 450X 450 Plus Gen 3 is the entry-level model, and Ather 450X Gen 3 is the most expensive (both ex-showroom Delhi, Rs 1.17 Lakh). Additionally, you can research the Ather 450X and its variants’ on-road costs in Delhi (which include the vehicle’s ex-showroom price, RTO fees, Ather 450X insurance, and other expenses).

The Ather 450X is powered by a 5400-watt PMSM motor. The 3.7 kWh battery inside the Ather 450X charges in 5 hours and 40 minutes and is said to have a 60-kilometer range. The Ather 50X is probably one of the fastest scooters in India. It has a larger motor and battery, allowing it to reach top speeds and higher accelerations.
