Bajaj Twinner Sportbike Is Coming To India | Bajaj Twinner 500cc Bike

Bajaj Auto is working on a bevy of premium motorcycles alongside Triumph Motorcycles, and in the midst of it all, it filed an application for the trademark “Twinner” in May 2020, which has now been authorized. Bajaj is expected to utilize the term “twinner” for their upcoming mid-capacity, 2-cylinder motorcycles, as “twinner” simply means “one who bears twins.” The company has lately applied for many trademarks, including “Fluor,” “Fluir,” and “Neuron,” albeit the registration of nameplates does not imply an impending launch.

In addition, Bajaj is collaborating with KTM to produce a line of twin-cylinder motorcycles with engine displacements ranging from 490 to 650cc. This year, the Duke, the Austrian brand’s first 490cc model, will make its global premiere. The KTM 490 Adventure will soon join the party, while the RC 490, as well as enduro and supermoto bikes powered by the same engine, are also in the works. Bajaj Auto will manufacture these motorcycles in India.

Bajaj will later manufacture mid-capacity motorcycles for the Indian two-wheeler market using KTM’s 490cc engine. As a result, Bajaj can call the motorbike with a 50-horsepower output the “Twinner.” Meanwhile, the business has established a framework for its new electric vehicle production plant in Akurdi, Maharashtra, near Pune. This plant will start producing electric vehicles later this year, with a capacity of 50,000 EVs per year initially.

The trademark document, however, shows that the name was suggested primarily for bikes and scooters, as the certificate makes no mention of electric vehicles. It’s also worth mentioning that these are just expectations. More information about the new motorcycle will be revealed in the company’s formal statement.
