2023 Honda Dio Powertrain
The Dio is powered by a 109.51cc fuel-injected, single-cylinder motor replacing the previous gen’s carbureted engine. Power is down, torque is up, and the new motor pumps out 7.76PS at 8000rpm and 9Nm of peak torque at 4750 rpm — 0.16PS less 0.09Nm more than the BS4 model. It is silently brought to life by an ACG starter. For the first time, the Dio now features a telescopic fork up front as well as a 12-inch wheel. For 2021, Yamaha has equipped the Fascino with a hybrid engine which works in tandem with battery to help extract 16 percent more mileage while producing 30 percent more torque (compared to the 113cc Fascino). As a result, its torque output has risen from 9.7Nm to 10.3Nm. Its power, though, remains the same as before, at 8.2PS. It continues to use their silent start and start-stop system. It uses the same hardware as before — a telescopic front fork and a single shock absorber at the rear. For braking, the Fascino uses a 190mm disc up front or a drum unit, along with a drum at the rear, with CBS as standard. The 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels are wrapped with 90-section front and 110-section rear tubeless tyres respectively.
