The BMW M5 CS is one of the most powerful performance sedans on the market. The German four-door is simply hard to beat in terms of numbers, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a worthy rival.

The M5 CS’s twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine produces 626 horsepower (467 kilowatts) and 553 pound-feet (750 Newton-meters) of torque. That much power propels the sedan’s 4,023 pounds (1,825 kilograms) weight.
The Panamera Turbo S, on the other hand, has a twin-turbo V8 with a slightly smaller displacement of 4.0-liter. It produces slightly less power, but it is important to note that the Porsche produces significantly more torque at 605 lb-ft (820 Nm).
The Panamera, on the other hand, required that extra oomph at the line because it is 562 lbs (255 kgs) heavier than the BMW, or the weight of approximately three people. This is bad news for the Porsche sedan in a race where weight is crucial.
