The BYD e6 electric vehicle is the only e-vehicle in India powered by the Blade Battery and comes with a large boot space of 580 liters.
BYD India has delivered over 450 e6 electric MPVs across the country thus far. This model was first introduced in Delhi, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Kochi. The company then established dealer partners in Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Indore, Jaipur, Pune, and Kolkata. The automaker recently opened showrooms in five cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Vijayawada, and Hyderabad.
The BYD e6 electric vehicle is India’s only e-vehicle that uses the Blade Battery and has a large boot space of 580 litres. It can also regenerate power at speeds as low as 2 kmph. The electric MPV has a 71.7 kWh Blade Battery and can travel up to 520 kilometres in city mode on a single charge, with a WLTC combined range of 415 kilometres.

The e6 MPV is covered by a three-year/125,000-kilometer warranty, an eight-year/500,000-kilometer battery cell warranty, and an eight-year/150,000-kilometer traction motor warranty from BYD India. “We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to the All-New e6 across India.” “BYD India will continue to play a critical role in EV adoption throughout India,” said Shrirang Joshi, National Sales Head of BYD India’s Electric Passenger Vehicles Business.
By completing the sustainability drive initiative, the battery-powered vehicle recently entered the India Book of Records for the maximum distance covered in an electric car of 2,203 kilometres. It was a six-day journey from Mumbai to Delhi to raise awareness about sustainability and EV adoption.

As India plans to invest 260 billion rupees in automaker subsidies over the next five years, BYD India hopes to capitalise on the electric opportunity. More products will be introduced here by the company in collaboration with its partners and dealers.
