Citroen New Cars Ready For Launch This Year – 7-Seater SUV and EV

Citroen, the French carmaker, will shortly extend its product offering in India with two new models based on the C3 hatchback. One will be an electric version (eC3), while the other will be a three-row SUV. While the Citroen eC3 will be available in the coming weeks, the new Citroen 7-seater SUV will be available in the second half of 2023. Bookings for the Citroen eC3 have already begun, with prices starting at Rs 25,000. When it is released, the vehicle will compete with the Tata Tiago EV, which is priced between Rs 8.49 lakh and Rs 11.79 lakh. The eC3 will be offered in Live and Feel varieties, each with a 29.2kWh battery pack and a 57bhp/143Nm electric motor. It travels from zero to sixty kilometres per hour in 6.8 seconds and has a peak speed of 107 kilometres per hour. There are two driving modes, Eco and Standard, as well as regenerative braking. Citroen says that the eC3 has a 320km ARAI-certified range on a full charge. The 3.3kWh onboard AC or DC fast charger may be used to charge the electric hatchback.

The new Citroen 7-seater SUV will rival the Renault Triber. According to sources, the production-ready variant will be known as the Citroen C3 Aircross. However, a few design alterations will be made, including the front grille, bumper, and fog lamp assembly. The new SUV might be powered by the same 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.2L, 3-cylinder normally aspirated petrol engines used in the C3 hatchback. Citroen’s 7-seater SUV will have a digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, 4 speakers, a speed sensitive auto door lock, roof rails, and other amenities.
