The recently updated C5 Aircross was unveiled by Citroen India a few days ago. It is currently available in a single Shine variant that is fully loaded and costs Rs. 36.67 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with the recently unveiled new generation Hyundai Tucson. The C5 Aircross, which the French automaker introduced in India last year, has not been well received by consumers.
Citroen recently introduced the C3 compact hatchback in India and plans to introduce more models in the upcoming years, including an electrified version based on the C3, in addition to growing its dealership network. A Hyundai Creta rival that the company is testing has already been spotted, and now a second prototype that appears to be the seven-seater C3 has been spotted driving on public roads.
We can anticipate that the upcoming seven-seater Citroen C3 will target volume-based customers slightly below the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga given the car’s already aggressive pricing. Although the test mule’s front fascia looks similar to that of the C3 compact hatchback, its side profile appears to be longer, giving the impression that it is undoubtedly a seven-seater.

The three-row model will probably compete with vehicles like the Ertiga and Carens, or it may hold the same market position as the Datsun Go Plus with better premium equipment. It is not yet known whether the three-row model has a modified wheelbase length. The fog lamp housings have been lowered into the bumper while the front grille appears to have undergone a minor update with new inserts.
7-Seater Citroen C3 Engine
In the spy photos, you could also make out a rear defogger, similar-looking wheel arches, and steel wheels. The Citroen C3 currently only has a five-speed manual transmission and is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with a maximum power output of 82 bhp and 115 Nm. The same motor’s turbocharged version produces 109 bhp and 190 Nm.
A six-speed manual transmission is attached to it. A more potent version of the turbocharged gasoline engine may be installed in the seven-seater. The launch is anticipated to occur sometime in 2019.
