With its new-age compact and affordable EVs like the Nexon EV, Tigor Ev, and now the Tiago EV, Tata Motors should be credited with spearheading the revolution of electric vehicles for the masses. Tata Motors, aware of its responsibility as a pioneer of electric vehicles in India, has released a video on its social media handles that explains how to maximize the range of one’s electric vehicle.
Tata Motors has listed five critical factors in its video that can be used to increase the driving range of one’s electric vehicle. The first is anticipatory driving, in which you must understand how electric vehicles accelerate and pick up speed. Maintain speeds of up to 80 km/h while driving only in Eco and Normal modes to achieve a longer driving range. Sport mode can up the thrill factor of your driving experience, but it depletes the battery significantly. The coasting method, in which you decelerate the vehicle with minimal brake application, increases the range by using your right foot and one pedal.

Tips To Get Maximum Range From An Electric Car
The next step is to use a regenerative braking system, in which an electric vehicle converts the available kinetic energy produced during de-acceleration or braking into electric energy. This energy is then used to charge the EV’s high voltage battery, extending the vehicle’s range.
You can also optimize your vehicle’s air conditioner so that it is neither too hot nor too cold. Keep the air conditioner in auto mode and the settings in Econ mode with temperatures ranging from 24-26 degrees Celsius. To avoid excessive range consumption, use the remote AC feature only when the remaining charge is sufficient, as it has an impact on the vehicle’s driving range.
Most vehicles now have a tire pressure monitoring system that alerts you to the exact amount of air pressure in the tires. If one or more of your EV’s tires have lower air pressure levels than recommended, make sure to fill those tires with adequate air pressure levels. Finally, it is best to stick to service schedules while keeping fluid levels within tolerance limits. It is also advised not to use unauthorized electrical accessories in your EV, as they can deplete the available range more quickly than usual.
Tata Also launched The Most Affordable Electric Car In India
Tata Motors recently introduced the most affordable electric vehicle in the Indian market. The base variant of the all-new Tiago EV has priced at Rs 8.49 lakh. This is an introductory price, and only the first 10,000 customers will be eligible. The Tiago EV will be available alongside the Tata Tigor EV, Nexon EV, and Nexon MAX EV. Tata is currently the market leader in the electric vehicle segment, and the new Tiago EV will help the company expand its market share even further.
