India’s First Maruti WagonR With Electric Sunroof

A Maruti WagonR owner instals an aftermarket electric sunroof in this video. Since it has consistently ranked among the best-selling vehicles in the nation, the WagonR needs no introduction. The hatchback that sits beneath the Swift in the Indian lineup is characterised by its tall-boy silhouette and contemporary looks (in the most recent version). However, this WagonR has been altered to realise the dream of having a sunroof in a vehicle.

The modification made to this WagonR is documented by a well-known YouTuber. The grille at the front of this WagonR has a red insert, red LED lights are also inserted into the grille, and police lights (red and blue) that blink inside the grille. LED headlamps have also been installed, and stylish alloy wheels emphasise the hatchback’s overall stance. The stock model comes with 13-inch tyres; the upgraded set has 15-inch tyres. Additionally, premium materials were used to modify the interior upholstery.

The owner-developed electric sunroof, however, is what everyone is talking about. He carries out such tasks independently in his own shop that he owns for car modifications. He installed the sunroof after cutting a hole in the roof. It’s interesting to note that he was aware of the leakage problems associated with installing aftermarket sunroofs. In order to address this, he installed a piping system on the sunroof’s sides that directs water to the vehicle’s four side pillars. He says that the Cruze, which was on sale in India a few years ago, served as the inspiration for this setup.

But the electric sunroof, which the owner invented himself, is what everyone is talking about. He carries out such tasks independently at his own shop where cars are modified.
