Jeep India has quietly discontinued the Compass’s entry-level petrol sport manual variant. The base sport petrol trim is now only available with an automatic transmission, while the diesel-manual trim is still available. The reason for the discontinuation is most likely the variant’s low demand in the Indian market.
The 1.4-litre MultiAir turbocharged petrol engine in the Jeep Compass Sport petrol manual produced 160bhp and 250Nm of torque. A six-speed manual transmission accompanied the engine. The SUV now has the same engine, but it is paired with a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels.

The SUV is offered in seven colours including Brilliant Black, Techno Metallic Green, Galaxy Blue, Grigio Magnesio Grey, Exotica Red, Minimal Grey, and Bright White.
