The Meridian is the name that Jeep has given to their forthcoming three-row SUV. It will be a Made-in-India product that will hit the market in the middle of 2022. The SUV’s interior was recently revealed by a test mule.

The Meridian and the Compass will have a lot in common. Its most recent spy images reveal the same 10.1-inch touchscreen interface as well as an all-black interior with a redesigned steering wheel. A 360-degree camera, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, and linked car technology are all predicted.

Multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system are likely to provide passenger safety. The radar in the bottom section of the front bumper suggests that the Meridian will be equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The test mule had blacked-out alloy wheels and cameras fitted in the wing mirrors. The SUV’s sleek headlights, LED taillights, fog lamps, and LED DRLs were also featured in the latest spy photos.

Jeep is anticipated to offer the Meridian with a 2-litre diesel engine from the Compass and a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Wrangler (both retuned). It should be available in 2WD and 4WD configurations. Because it’s a Jeep, it’ll have off-road assistance and Terrain settings (Sand/Mud, Snow, and Auto).

The full-size SUV is expected to start at Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up from there. It will go on sale in the second half of 2022, competing with the MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, Mahindra Alturas G4, and Toyota Fortuner.
