Maruti Suzuki Jimny Crosses 9000 Plus Booking And Fronx Accumulated 2500 Booking
Maruti Suzuki announced and started formal reservations for the five-door Jimny and Fronx at the Auto Expo 2023 earlier this month. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny has gotten almost 9,000 bookings in just 10 days, while the Fronx has received 2,500 orders.
For the first time, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny is available in India as a five-door model, measuring 3,985mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,590mm. The Jimny is powered by a 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine that produces 103bhp and 134Nm of torque and is connected to a five-speed manual and a four-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The SUV is available in Zeta and Alpha trim levels and comes standard with Maruti’s AllGrip 4×4 powertrain. The Jimny costs Rs 25,000 to reserve, and deliveries are expected to begin in the coming months.
Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is built on the same platform as the Baleno. It’s slightly under four meters long and has a sloping roofline, roof rails, and hefty plastic cladding to give it a tough appearance. (www.pinnaclemontessori.com) There are also two engine options to select from.
The 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine produces 99bhp and 148Nm of torque, while the 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated engine produces 88bhp and 113Nm. While the five-speed manual transmission is standard, the former receives an AMT unit, while the latter receives a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The Fronx is available in Sigma, Delta, Delta Plus, Zeta, and Alpha varieties, with pricing to be disclosed in the coming months.
