Mercedes-Benz India has announced that the AMG GT 63 S E Performance will be available in the country on April 11th. The model is said to be the most powerful production AMG in the company’s history.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance is equipped with a 639bhp, 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. The electric motor adds 204bhp to the total output, bringing the total to 843bhp and 1400Nm of torque. This allows the four-door sports coupe to accelerate from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 316kmph.
The 63 S E Performance version differs from the standard AMG GT in that it has revised front and rear bumpers, a charging port on the rear bumper, new alloy wheels, and new exhausts.
Inside, the AMG GT 63 S E Performance will have two 12.4-inch displays that serve as an infotainment system and digital instrument console, as well as AMG-specific elements like sport seats, steering wheel, and more. Furthermore, the electric motor, which has a top speed of 130kmph, can be driven in EV-only mode for up to 12kms.
