Mercedes-Benz to have ‘supercomputers’; announces partnership with Google

Mercedes-Benz announced on Wednesday that it has teamed up with Google to create customised guidance for its new MB.OS operating system.

When a Mercedes-Benz is parked or in Level 3 automated driving mode, the system will provide Google traffic data, automatic rerouting, and YouTube viewing on the entertainment system.

The modular architecture, or MMA, platform, which will support its future compact cars, is expected to debut in the middle of the decade, and from that point on, the MB.OS operating system will be implemented across the entire product range.

According to the statement, Google and Mercedes-Benz also decided to investigate further collaboration using Google Cloud data and AI powers.
