The lack of semi-conductor chips has had a severe influence on MG Motor India’s sales in the country. In April 2022, the company sold 2,008 units, down 22% from the same month the previous year. In April of previous year, MG Motor India sold 2,565 units.
Due to the abrupt and new COVID-19 lockdowns in various areas of the world, MG Motor India says that production remained erratic and greatly disrupted by global supply chain limitations.

According to MG Motor India, demand for the Hector, Astor, and Gloster continues to grow in terms of inquiries and bookings. The corporation stated that it is closely monitoring the situation created by the new COVID waves and is coordinating its response efforts.

Customers are also enthusiastic about the new MG ZS EV, which was just released. Month after month, the company claims to have received over 1000 bookings. MG Motor has worked with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to speed the installation of EV charging infrastructure across the country in order to boost the EV ecosystem and increase customer trust in EV adoption.
