Even before Toyota Kirloskar announced the release of the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser, an Indian politician purchased the vehicle, customized it, and began using it. The new SUV, which has a four-year waiting list in international markets, is already on the market in India and is owned by a politician named K. N. Nehru.
This is most likely the same Toyota Land Cruiser that was spotted earlier this year in Coimbatore. Toyota will reveal the official pricing for the all-new Land Cruiser later this year, around the holidays. However, the politician appears to have gotten ahead of the game by privately importing the SUV before its official release.
Toyota will bring a limited number of Land Cruiser LC300 ‘Sahara’ models to India. The Sahara version of the Land Cruiser LC300 is expected to come in nine color options, as well as bi-LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, 18-inch machined alloy wheels, and a chrome finish on the front grille, window frames, rear bumper, outside rearview mirrors, and door handles.
About K.N. Nehru’s LC300
While we don’t know what engine powers the politician’s Land Cruiser, the India-spec Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 will only come with one powertrain option: a 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 diesel engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces 304 bhp and 700 Nm of torque and is supported by a standard four-wheel-drive system. With features like multiple off-road modes and a limited-slip differential, the SUV is a true go-anywhere vehicle. It will also be outfitted with cutting-edge electronics, such as Level-2 ADAS.

Because it will be a CBU model, the price will most likely be around Rs 2 crore. The minister must have paid extra to have the SUV privately imported into India.

K. N. Nehru is a Tamil Nadu government minister in charge of public works. He previously served as the state government’s Minister of Transportation. Nehru’s previous vehicles were all Land Cruisers.
