The best way to define a car’s performance is by determining how quickly does the car launch from the start. There’s a huge difference between when we compare the car from the 1970 and other from the ’20s. Technology has made things possible for the car to go quickest ever. Here’s
|year||Car Model||0-60mph(in sec)|
|1970||Chevrolet Corvette C3 LS6||5.3 secs|
|1984||Porsche 911 930 Turbo||4.6 secs|
|1984||Porsche 959||3.6 secs|
|1991||Bugatti EB110||3.4 secs|

Car with fastest 0-60mph
Chevrolet Corvette C3 LS6
In the early 19’s cars weren’t fast as today but had a decently fast speed. The first car on the list is the Chevrolet Corvette C3 LS6, the car could do 0-60mph in 5.3 secs. it is powered by 7.8 425 horsepower.
Porsche 911 930 Turbo
Talking about the American cars, German also has a good pace. The 911 became Porsche’s first car which was fitted with a turbo that helps it to do 0-60 in 4.6secs. The car is powered by a 3.3L Turbo-Charged Flat-six engine with 330 horsepowers.
The 959 was a game-changer for the supercar industry as the car had very high-tech features which made it a progressive car. It was the first Porsche with four-wheel drive and a 2.8L Flat-six engine that could produce over 450 horsepower which could do 0-60 in 3.8 secs.
Before making the fastest supercar in the world they made an EM110 back in 1991 which had a 3.5L V12 with four turbos and produced over 560 horsepower. The car was capable of doing 0-60 in 3.4secs, which made it the fastest car ever produced.
The EB110 couldn’t hold the crown for a long time as in the next year 1992 McLaren launched the first ever road car “McLaren F1”. The car was perfect master piece of being the world’s fastest car for a decade. McLaren F1 was fitted with a 6.1L BMW V12 engine that produced over 627 horsepower. The car managed to do 0-60 in 3.2 secs with a Top speed of 240mph.
After an entire decade in 2002 Ferrari came up with the Enzo named after Enzo Ferrari. The car had all of the latest techs on board, with intelligent engineering. The car had with a robotizing manual gearbox. It’s a 6.0L V12 engine car that has 660 horsepower. It can do 0-60 in just 3.1 secs.
SSC Ultimate Aero
In 2005 Enzo was smoked by an SSC, the car was more made for the straights rather than the tracks. It’s a car from the USA that competed with European cars. The car is a rear-wheel-drive with a 6.3L Supercharged V8 engine producing a massive 798 horsepower. And can do 0-60 in 2.8 secs.
Unfortunately, SSC didn’t the top of the list, as Bugatti came up with their Veyron in 2005. The car blew up everyone’s mind as it was the fastest car in the world. It has a W16 engine with quad-turbos which produced over 1,000 horsepower, and a top speed of 270 mph. The car did 0-60 in 2.5 secs.
After the Veyron Bugatti, in 2016 Bugatti launched their fastest car, Chiron. Name after Bugatti’s racing driver the Chiron was based on the same chassis as that of Veyron. The car had a Bugatti’s 8.0L W16 quad-turbo engine which now produced over 1,500 horsepower. The car can do 0-60 in 2.4 secs.
