Zepto To Deliver Skoda Cars In Just 10 mins

If you’ve been scrolling through social media recently, you may have noticed Skoda and rapid commerce provider Zepto touting a mysterious relationship. At first glance, it appeared that Skoda had achieved the impossible – easing the purchase of a car in less than 10 minutes – similar to Zepto, which is well-known for delivering home supplies quickly. But, before you start expecting a brand-new Skoda Kylaq to arrive alongside your eggs and toast, let us clarify: your new subcompact SUV will not be delivered in 10 minutes, but you will be given a test drive instead.

Skoda Auto India has partnered with Zepto to ensure that you do not have to wait days (or even hours) to drive its latest subcompact SUV. Instead, Skoda claims to bring the test drive experience to your door in just 10 minutes, faster than you can select what to binge-watch tonight.

Skoda has been playing the inventiveness game since the Kylaq was initially unveiled. The corporation even allowed the public to participate in a naamkaran (naming ceremony) by holding a contest in which five prospective names were shortlisted before ‘Kylaq’ was selected as the winning entry.

Furthermore, after 10 days of starting bookings, Skoda received 10,000 orders. The Kylaq, which debuted in December 2024, is currently Skoda’s smallest SUV in India, with pricing ranging from Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Despite its small size, the Kylaq is crammed with functionality. The top-tier Prestige trim level includes power-adjustable front seats, ambient lighting, an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, and a digital instrument cluster, among other features. Standard safety features include six airbags, traction control, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, an electronic differential lock, rear parking sensors, and more.

Under the hood, the Kylaq is driven by a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 114 horsepower and 178 Nm. There are two transmission options: 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic.
