The Kia EV6 has been named Car of the Year, an accolade that allows auto writers from 23 European nations to vote on the finest new vehicle released in the previous year. This year’s award went to the Kia EV6, which received 279 points from the jury. With 265 points, it outperformed the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric. With 261 points, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 came in third. The Peugeot 308, Skoda Enyaq, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Cupra Born were the other finalists, with 191 points, 185 points, 150 points, and 144 points respectively.
This is the first time Kia has been named Car of the Year. According to the European WLTP rating, the EV can travel up to 528 kilometres (328 miles on a charge). The model is available in a range of styles from the brand. There are 58.0- and 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery alternatives, for example. The GT variant joins the EV6 portfolio in the United States in late 2022. It has a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup as well, but the power output is increased to 576 horsepower (430 kilowatts). The model can reach 60 miles per hour (96 kilometres per hour) in less than 3.5 seconds as a result of this.
