Top 5 Worst Ferrari Models Ever Made | Pathetic Ferraris Ever

Not All Ferraris Are A Sight To Behold!!

Every company has seen many ups and downs in the path of reaching the top position. No company is an exception. You cannot expect any company to launch products that will always turn to be successful. Many companies have been shut down due to the launch of one product that was a sales flop. But as long as you have the resources to recover and launch a new, better product; people tend to forget your shortcomings. That’s the case with Ferrari Models.

There is no doubt that the Ferrari is one of the most respected car companies in Italy. Over the course of time, they’ve made many beautiful-looking cars like the LaFerrari and the Enzo. But there have been a few Ferrari models that the buyers absolutely hated. No one expected the company to launch these models. Some looked weird while some didn’t have the charm to get the Ferrari badge. Remember, these are our choices and yours might vary. So, let’s have a look at some of the worst Ferraris ever made:-

1. 410 Superamerica Ghia

Look at this and just tell me what do you think this is? One would never assume that this is a Ferrari. It just looks like some kid wanted to draw a mix of various Ford models with Cadillac’s iconic tail-fins. Another guess is that this design was made to mock American cars. The most unique-looking Ferrari is also one of their ugliest. Thank God this is the last of the Ferrari models built by Ghia.

2. Ferrari 365GT4 2+2, 400 and 412

No, these three aren’t different models. These are essentially the same models renamed twice. These lasted from 1972 to 1989. This big, flat, and hard-edged three-box coupe having a Pininfarina design was unlike their other models. Its 4.4-litre Colombo V-12 generated 340 HP. In the next model i.e. the 400, a 4.8-litre V12 engine was used. The 412 was the final version that arrived in 1989 looked dated for the time and thus it was removed from production. The car was famous for its unreliability. Fans hated it and as for critics; Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson called it ‘Awful In Every Way’.

3. 575 GTZ Zagato

Here’s another particularly odd-looking Ferrari on the list. This was commissioned by Yoshiyuki Hayashi who already owned several Ferraris like the Enzo and two Daytonas. So Zagato built this special version of a 575M Maranello for him. They took the design cues from a 1956 250 GTZ. ‘Versions’; we can say as Yoshiyuki ordered two such cars. As if this all-aluminum car was not ugly, Zagato’s staple double-bubble roof makes it look uglier.

4. Ferrari/Dino 208/308 GT4

This was the First Ferrari for Bertone. They created a mid-engined V8 machine with four seats. Initially, the car got the Dino name which Ferrari applied to its affordable entry-level offerings. But a Ferrari with a mere 180 HP ?? That’s strictly a non-Ferrari zone. Ferrari put their badge on the car after discontinuation of its Dino marque. But this change didn’t make it a Ferrari at all as only the badge was changed. The community disliked the car and till recent times, its prices never went above $50,000. That’s a seriously low value for a Ferrari. It did 0-60 mph in 7 seconds. Maybe that’s why fans love to hate this model.

5. Ferrari Mondial

Ah, the King of them all… Ferrari should’ve learned their lessons after the Dino 308GT4 scenario. But what they come up with to replace that was even more ridiculous. It stuffed the engine along with four seats in a 104.3-inch wheelbase. It was so slow that it did 0-60 mph in 9.3 seconds, making it slower than its predecessor. In 1983, its 3.0-litre V8 was introduced with the Mondial Cabriolet. In 1985, the engine got an upgrade to 270HP. The Mondial T introduced in 1989 generated 300 HP, but people lost their interest till then. The poor electronic system used to fail at one point or another. The Pininfarina design also didn’t help and this car now appears in every list you can find on the Worst Ferrari models ever made.
