McLaren Solus Walkaround Video Reveals – Manny Khoshbin

McLaren intends to build only 25 Solus GT supercars. McLaren has already sold all of them, so your chances of getting one are nil, but Manny Khoshbin, one of those 25, takes us behind the scenes with the track-only car. Khoshbin gets up close and personal with it for a quick walkaround video.

The car appears otherworldly in the video, highlighting the car’s outlandish design. McLaren designed the car so that airflow could pass over, under, and through it, creating massive amounts of downforce. The car can generate over 2,646 pounds (1,200 kilogrammes) of downforce and deliver up to 3,086 pounds (1,400 kg) at 150 miles per hour (241 kilometres per hour). It is less than 2,205 pounds (1,000 kg).

Little has changed since it debuted in Gran Turismo Sport a few years ago. McLaren, on the other hand, redesigned the cockpit to have a more traditional seating position than the in-game vehicle. (tramadol) This appears to be one of the first cars designed by McLaren Automotive over a decade ago.

The Solus is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine with 829 horsepower (619 kilowatts) and 479 pound-feet (650 Newton-meters) of torque. It’s said to sound like a Formula One car from the 2000s. It has a top speed of 62 mph (100 kph) in 2.5 seconds. The car does have traction and stability control, which allows drivers to learn the car’s limits in a comfortable and safe manner.

The Souls has a single-seat cockpit with a sliding canopy, which is demonstrated in the video. The NACA duct on the side also functions as a step that can support a person, and drivers use it to step into the cockpit before lowering themselves into it like an F1 driver. The seat is fixed, but the pedal box is adjustable.

Each car is tailored to the driver, with a moulded seat – another F1-inspired feature that includes a racing suit, carbon helmet, racing shoes, and a HANS device. It even has a steering wheel that can be removed. We hope Khoshbin continues to document his Solus GT journey. We can’t wait to see how the supercar performs on the track.
