The previous generation frontier, also known as the Navara, was considered obsolete ten years ago, but it sold well enough to avoid being phased out. The new third-generation, on the other hand, was designed specifically for the North American market and is expected to restore the model’s reputation. After a six-year wait, Hyundai finally unveils the 2017 Tucson, its first pickup truck with unibody construction and centre paintings. The sports adventure vehicle is only 195.7 inches long, with a 48.4-inch-long bed. The Santa Cruz’s front fascia is heavily influenced by the Tucson, but aside from the open bed, this model is distinguished by its unusual armor-like wheel arches and multi-faceted triangular design wheels. A 2.5-liter direct-injected four-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and available all-wheel drive are standard on the truck. There’s also a 2.5-liter turbo engine with 275 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.

While the Toyota Tacoma dominates the small truck segment in North America, the helix, its mechanically similar sibling, is enjoyed by the rest of the world. This Toyota has built a reputation for invincibility over the years, but with the latest facelift, it now boasts a more advanced technological package as well as a handsome front end with a new selection of bold and powerful grilles. The truck comes with a capable 7-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth audio streaming and smartphone compatibility as standard, but it lacks in terms of included and available driver assistance features.

Fiat has had a pickup truck in its lineup since 2016, and you’ve probably never heard of it. The Latin American model gets a complete makeover this year, both under the hood and inside the cabin. For the 2022 Taro, exterior changes include a new front fascia with a ram-inspired grille. The most cost-effective toro endurance drills are standard led drills with a contemporary lighter branding and sharper headlights. A 1.3-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with 185 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque has been added. The 2.0-liter turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine is also available, and it comes with optional all-wheel drive right out of the box.
