On December 16, premium motorcycle manufacturer Benelli will unveil its new adventure tourer motorcycle, the Benelli TRK 251. Last month, the motorbike manufacturer opened bookings for this model at a price of 6,000 yen. When it debuts, this adventure tourer will take on competitors like the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 250 Adventure.
When it comes to pricing, Benelli has remained tight-lipped on the TRK 251’s price. However, expect it to be priced between Rs. 2.2 and Rs. 2. lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The luxury motorcycle manufacturer had previously announced on its social media accounts that the TRK 251 adventure tourer would be released soon. It will also come in three other color schemes: glossy white, glossy black, and glossy grey.
The Benelli TRK 251 has an aggressive appearance that is akin to the brand’s larger ADv bikes. A dual-pod LED headlight with a semi-faired design, a digital instrument cluster, a tall windshield, and a stepped-up rider seat are among the primary design aspects that catch the eye.
In addition to upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock, the adventure tourer has a tough suspension setup. It has single petal-type disc brakes on both wheels for braking. The black alloy wheels are coated with tough rubber that can handle off-roading.
The Benelli TRK 251 is powered by a new generation 249cc single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission. This engine has a maximum power output of 25.8 bhp and a maximum torque output of 21.2 Nm.
The Benelli TRK 251 is part of the company’s plan to enter a new market of low-cost, high-performance adventure tourers. In 2022, the company intends to offer a number of new items in the Indian market. During the debut of TRK 251, expect it to tease subsequent items.
