Skoda Auto India’s Brand Director, Zac Hollis, stated, “Despite challenges such as the pandemic and supply restrictions that affected the sector and the economy as a whole, we have grown our annual sales volumes by triple digits. We’ve maintained our tight emphasis on customer centricity, grown our customer touchpoints across the country, and embraced innovative and powerful business solutions while building on our product campaigns. We have recently debuted the Slavia, a premium mid-size sedan that will help Skoda continue its sales rise, which was sparked by Kushaq.”

In 2021, the Skoda Kushaq compact SUV was the company’s best-selling vehicle. The Kushaq, according to the Czech automaker, has contributed to more than 60% of the company’s entire sales volume for the year, and more than 75% in the months since its launch. The SUV was the first to be constructed on the MQB-A0-IN platform, and it was available with a 1.0-litre TSI and a 1.5-litre TSI engine, both with manual and automatic transmission options.

The firm is currently preparing to debut the new Skoda Kodiaq facelift, which will take place on January 10, 2021. The Skoda Slavia, which is based on the same chassis as the Kushaq and has officially replaced the Rapid sedan in India, will arrive shortly after.
