Goa’s first EV Mercedes Benz EQS 580 delivered to young entrepreneur Harish Padiyar

In September of last year, the German luxury manufacturer Mercedes Benz unveiled the EQS, its top-of-the-line electric sedan. Ever since then, the model has remained as the most expensive yet efficient electric vehicles in India. Although the model has a starting price of Rs. 1.55 crore, some individuals in the nation have not been deterred by this price. A youthful entrepreneur most recently received the state of Goa’s first-ever EQS sedan.

Facebook users posted a video of the delivery of the first Mercedes Benz in Goa, which was received by Harish Padiyar, MD of the Goa-based IT company Axzora Pvt. Ltd. The youthful entrepreneur’s model is finished in the colour Obsidian Black. The vehicle can be seen leaving the showroom through the main entrance in the delivery footage.

Mercedes-all-electric Benz’s EQS sedan is the brand’s top-of-the-line flagship EV vehicle and the electrified version of the S-Class sedan. The new EQS 580 4MATIC sedan comes equipped as standard with a massive 107.8 kWh battery cell. The EQS EV sedan has the largest battery pack presently offered in any electric vehicle in the nation. The EQS has one of the best EV ranges in India thanks to this sizable battery capacity. The EQS, according to the manufacturer, has an 857-kilometer driving range and can be topped off and refilled for another 300 kilometres in just 15 minutes after it runs out of fuel.

Mercedes-Benz worked to make the sedan’s architecture as efficient as possible. It is extremely streamlined and has a very low drag coefficient. The lowest value of any production car in the world, cd- 0.2, translates into better driving range efficiency.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC’s engine is made up of two electric motors. One is mounted on the front axle and the other is mounted on the rear axle. As a result, it becomes an all-wheel-drive sedan with a combined electric engine output of 523 horsepower and a maximum torque of 856 Nm. The vehicle accelerates to 100 kmph in less than 4.2 seconds. The maximum speed of the electric sedan is limited to 210 Kmph. With a fast converter, the battery in the EQS can be charged in just 31 minutes from empty to 80%.

As the flagship Mercedes-Benz electric sedan, the vehicle is loaded with features and luxury materials on the inside. It receives a Hyperscreen, which is a glass panel connecting three dashboard panels. Other features include nine airbags, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automated emergency braking, a head-up display, massage functions for the front seats, Burmester 3D audio, air filtration, MBUX tablets for the passengers in the rear seats, and more. Rear wheel steering is also a feature of the EQS 580, but Mercedes-Benz will only make it accessible to the first 500 customers who purchase the car.
