Hero MotoCorp’s EV-only Vida sub-brand has made its domestic market debut with the release of the Vida V1 electric scooter. It is available in two different models: Plus and Pro. The former is priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh, while the latter is priced at Rs. 1.54 lakh, a Rs. 9,000 premium (both prices, ex-showroom).
With the sharp LED turn indicators emerging from the sides of the short black flyscreen, the electric scooter has a sharp design language. The front end features a sleek LED headlamp with LED Daytime Running Lights for a sporty appearance, while the split seat black seat setup is complemented by dual-tone alloy wheels at the front and rear.
Hero Vida V1 Range & Battery
The Vida V1’s top speed is claimed to be 80 kmph, and the fast charging capability allows the electric scooter to recharge at a rate of 1.2 km per minute. The top-spec Vida V1 Pro variant has a claimed riding range of 165 km on a single charge, which will undoubtedly be its highlight given the premium price tag.
The Vida V1 Plus, on the other hand, is said to be capable of 143 kilometers on a single charge. The V1 Pro, as expected, is faster off the line, accelerating from zero to 40 kmph in 3.2 seconds, while the Plus variant takes two-tenths longer at 3.4 seconds. The Vida V1 series is also packed with advanced features and technologies.
