Bajaj Auto recently unveiled two new motorcycles, and during the occasion, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto, stated that the brand had been three years late in introducing the new platform. The new-generation Pulsar 150 and 200 are expected to appear this year, and they will be constructed on the same platform that was introduced with the launch of the new N250 and F250 bikes.
Other vehicles in the range will utilize the new Pulsar Platform as well. The Pulsar 125, NS125, Pulsar 150, NS160, Pulsar 180, NS200, 220F, and RS200 are now part of the Bajaj Pulsar line. The Pulsar NS200 and RS200 are more complex than other bikes since they have liquid-cooled, single-cylinder fuel-injected engines.

The new entrants, the Pulsar N250 and F250, are priced similarly to the NS 200 and RS 200, and we don’t expect any big changes for their current generation, which may be phased out. The design of the N250 is more or less an evolution of the NS 200, whereas the F 250 is based on the long-serving Pulsar 220 F.
Because there is a demand in India for quarter-liter faired supersport bikes with good touring and handling skills, the Pulsar RS200 is expected to be replaced by the bigger RS250. It might be pitted against the Gixxer SF 250 and the Yamaha R15 V4. The next avatars of Pulsars with lesser engine cubic capacity may see substantial style and function improvements.
The new Bajaj Pulsar series could keep the semi-digital instrument cluster, with a focus on providing high-performance statistics. It’ll be interesting to see whatever powertrain technology they use, but the new chassis could help give larger overall dimensions. The new 250cc SOHC oil-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine produces 24.5 PS and 21.5 Nm of peak torque.
