Send Every Other 6×6 Truck Back To The Stone Age With The Colossal Hennessey Mammoth 1000 TRX

If you thought 6×6 pickup trucks couldn’t get any wilder, think again. The new Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX is coming to alter your mind. It has over 1,000 horsepower (735 kW) and transmits it via six massive tyres, as the name indicates. It’s one of the most powerful 6x6s on the market right now, and they’re only making 12 of them.

It’s one thing to start with a normal-looking pickup truck and turn it into something speedy. Hennessey does this to almost every big pickup truck on the market today. It’s another thing entirely to take the most extreme pickup on the market, the Ram 1500 TRX, and put it on steroids to the point that the Rock would tremble in its presence. The Mammoth 1000 6×6 is what it’s called.

That was the intention, according to John Hennessey: “Everything we do at Hennessey Performance is tuned up to eleven, but the Mammoth 1000 666 is certainly turned up to twelve!” Everything on the Mammoth 666 is larger, badder, and more intimidating – yet it’s still super-fast while still being a true off-road beast. It is without a doubt the king of the highway.”

It’s difficult to verify that claim since comparing 666 vehicles is akin to comparing apex creatures. They’re difficult to fit into a single area (in this case, mostly due to availability), and even if you did, selecting a winner wouldn’t be easy. We do know, however, that the Mammoth 1000 666 TRX is one of the most comprehensive bundles on the market.

Other 666 companies seldom provide a power increase above the original car, and those that do generally do it by increasing the boost on turbos or superchargers. Hennessey takes it a step further by installing a completely new and more capable supercharger, as well as a bevvy of other modifications such as updated injectors, a heavy-duty supercharger belt, and modified supercharger pulleys. All of this comes together during chassis dyno tuning, which Hennessey claims will result in at least 1,012 horsepower.

It’s because of this attention to detail that they can sell this vehicle as cheap as $449,950 and safely guarantee a two-year or 24,000-mile warranty. To be honest, we think you deserve a prize for taming the Mammoth if you can drive it 24,000 miles in two years.
