Toyota Mirai Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles – Range Upto 640km On Hydrogen

The Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) is currently on display at the Greater Noida 2023 Auto Expo. Just so you know, early in 2022, Toyota and the International Centre for Automotive Technology (iCAT) began a pilot study to assess the Mirai’s performance on Indian roads and in Indian weather. The pilot initiative, which was introduced by Nitin Gadkari, a Union Minister, intends to develop a national FCEV vehicle ecosystem. The Mirai FCEV of the second generation is being utilised for the pilot study.

The hydrogen fuel cell battery pack that powers the Toyota Mirai FCEV has a range of up to 650 kilometres on a full charge. The fact that it can be refuelled in just 5 minutes is even more intriguing. It produces 174 horsepower of power. Just so you know, the sedan’s second-generation model debuted on world markets in 2020. The fuel cell stack of the new model has been totally reworked, and it has additional hydrogen storage space. It is asserted to operate on a smoother mechanism than before and to offer superior handling and linear response.

Based on Toyota’s TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, the new Mirai was created. The new one has a revamped front fascia with a prominent grille compared to its predecessor. A 12.3-inch touchscreen in the centre of the dashboard and a digital instrument display with controls in the middle have been added to the sedan’s interior. The new model sports a five-seat arrangement, abandoning the earlier four-seat form.
