1. Subaru BRZ
Subaru BRZ is the model that EA showcased in their gameplay preview trailer for 2015’s Need For Speed game. Why do you ask? Well, try the infinite customization possibilities that the car has. Leave it, even the specifications of the base car are thrilling. Its high performance, 2.0 litre Boxer engine generates 205 HP and 212 Nm of torque. The car can go up to a speed of 233 kmph and can do 0-100 kmph in 7.6 seconds as the manufacturer claims. In the US and Canada, it was sold under Toyota’s Scion brand. While the second-gen BRZ and 86 are coming soon, the old cars still provide a significant value-for-money deal.

2. 2017 Alpine A110
The name might not sound familiar to the general public, but the enthusiasts will easily recognize it. This 2017 re-iteration of the classic Alpine A110 is developed by Renault-Nissan and reworked by Alpine engineers. Its engine can generate 250 HP and 320 Nm of torque. Its 0-100 kmph acceleration time is 4.5 seconds with top speed limited at 250 kmph. It was available in three trims namely Pure. Premiere and Legende. Even though its S variant has more power and other upgrades, it is the standard variant that we’d recommend.
3. Toyota GR Supra
For enthusiasts and the automotive world, the ‘Supra’ moniker is a legend. When the legendary A80 Supra was discontinued, fans were very disappointed. But the moment Toyota announced that it is set to return, hopes were very high. The new GR Supra had a pretty rocky reception, but it turned out to be a worthy successor. Its top-of-the-line turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six engine generates 382 HP and 500 Nm of torque. It can do 0-100 kmph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph. It is one of the best affordable High Performance cars currently on market.

4. Nissan 370Z
Coming as a replacement for the 350Z, the 370Z is an instant classic. It has all the unique design cues that Nissan has been carrying forward since the early Datsun Z models. Its base model gets a 3.7 litre V6 which makes 332 HP and reaches 100 kmph from a standstill in around 5 seconds. For speed freaks, there is the Nismo version that makes 350 HP and 374 Nm of torque. Nissan is saying that the latest ‘Nissan Z‘ model will carry its legacy, but we think that the 370Z is a worthy high performance car.
5. Audi TT Coupe/ Roadster
The last one on our list of High performance cars is the Audi TT. Both the coupe and roadster variants of the Audi TT are based on the MQB platform by the Volkswagen group. Its 2.0-litre engine produces 227 HP and 370 Nm torque as standard. Its TTS variant on the other hand gets a slightly tuned version to generate 306 HP and 380 Nm of torque.
