Mahindra & Mahindra reported today that their sales for the month of July 2022 were 56,148 cars. The domestic SUV specialist sold 27,854 units in the Utility Vehicle segment, while the passenger vehicle segment, which includes UVs, sedans, and vans, sold 28,053 units.
The brand shipped a total of 2,798 units, with the CV sector accounting for 20,946 domestic units. “We continued our excellent performance with sales of 27854 SUVs in July, showing a 34 percent increase powered by the sustained demand for all our brands, including XUV700, Thar, Bolero, and XUV300,” said Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M. Our commercial vehicles also saw an increase, with exports increasing by 32%. The supply chain issue is still volatile, and we are keeping a careful eye on it. “

In terms of domestic passenger cars Mahindra’s July 2022 Sales, UVs contributed a total of 27,854 units compared to 20,797 units during the same time the previous year, representing a 34% YoY volume increase. YTD, the brand sold 1,03,274 units compared to 63,367 units, representing a 63% increase. The combined sales were 28,053 units in July 2021, up from 21,046 units in July 2021, representing a 33% increase.
Year to date, Mahindra sold 1,04,363 units compared to 64,248 units, representing a 62% increase in sales. On the export side, the cumulative tally was 2,798 units versus 2,123 units, representing a 32% volume increase, and on a YTD basis, 10,306 units were delivered versus 8,670 units.
Mahindra unveiled the Scorpio N a few weeks ago, which is built on a whole new ladder frame chassis. The Scorpio N is offered in Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L models and is priced between Rs. 11.99 lakh and Rs. 23.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Official bookings for the Scorpio N began just a few days ago, and over one lakh reservations were taken in less than 30 minutes.
Next, on August 15, Mahindra will unveil five Born Electric vehicle ideas in the United Kingdom, followed by the market debut of the XUV400 electric SUV in the coming months.
