According to New Cat Assesment Programme ( NCAP ) which is an organization that conducts tests to evaluate cars on the basis of safety, Maruti Celerio, S-presso, alto failed NCAP’s tests and were declared to have high probability of life threatjing injuries and damages, in case they meet with accident. There are not many companies like Tata and Mahindra who follow the rules of NCAP and pay attention to the safey of their cars. There are many cars which have a very low NCAP rating and these mostly include Maruti Cars. We’ve made a list of Top 10 cars that would be proven most unsafe, if met with an accident.

1. Maruti Celerio

Maruti Suzuki Celerio is a famous 5-door hatchback from Maruti. Global NCAP tested the base variant of the Celerio which weighed 1019 kg. The vehicle didn’t have any safety features neither ABS nor EBD. The vehicle was tested at a speed of 64 kmph and the body shell integrity and structure were declared unstable. The vehicle scored 0 stars in adult safety ratings and scored 1 star in child safety ratings. The vehicle costs from 4.53 Lakh to 5.78 Lakh INR.

2. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso

Another car produced by Maruti, having good looks ,the S-presso is a 5-door hatchback. But the company calls it a mini SUV. NCAP tested S-presso in the year 2020 and included safety features like drive side airbags, ABS, SBR. The weight of the tested variant was 980 kg and it’s body shell integrity was also declared as unstable. It scored 0 stars in adult safety ratings and 2 stars in child safety ratings.

3. Maruti Suzuki Alto

Maruti Suzuki Alto is a 4 for City car and costs from 3 Lakh to 4.17 Lakh INR. Global NCAP tested base variant of Maruti Suzuki Alto in 2014 at a speed of 64 kmph. The weight of the vehicle was 968 kg and its body shell integrity was declared unstable. It score 0 stars in adult safety ratings and 2 stars in child safety ratings.

4. Maruti Eeco

Maruti Suzuki eeco is the most popular mini van produced by Maruti. Eeco’s non airbag version was tested in the year 2016 and its weight was 1124 kg. There were no safety features present in any version of the vehicle. As expected is body shell integrity was also declared unstable. It scored 0 stars in adult safety ratings and 2 stars in cold safety ratings.

5. Renault Kwid

The Kwid is a hatchback produced and manufactured by Renault. Renault Kwid was sent 3 times for the crash test. In 2016, the driver side airbag variant was tested by global NCAP and the results were not satisfying. It’s weight was 928 kg and had features like seat belt pretensioner, driver side airbag. When tested at 64 kmph, it’s body shell integrity and structure was declared unstable. However, it scored 1 star in adult safety rating and 1 star in child safety rating.

6. Datsun Redigo

Datsun Redigo is 5 for Hatchback car and is available in India at a starting price of 2.86 Lakh INR. The tested variant had a driver side airbag and weighed 917 kg. Besides the airbag, it only hasABS in the list of safety features. Body shell integrity was declared unstable with 1 star adult safety rating and 2 star in child safety rating.

7. Hyundai Santro

The Santro is a 5 dolor Hatchback car produced by Hyundai and is sold at a price tag of 4.67 Lakh INR. Hyundai also doesn’t pay enough attention at the safety features. The driver side variant of this car was tested in 2019. The 1099 kg vehicle had a driver side airbag, SBR, ABS in the field of safety. It’s body shell integrity was also declares unstable. However, it scored 2 stars in both adult and child safety ratings.

8. Maruti Suzuki Wagonr

The Wagonr is one of the most popular vehicle produced by Maruti Suzuki. It is a hatchback car and has an 2.5 stars overlal rating from NCAP. When tested at 64 kmph it also scored 2 stars in both adult and child safety ratings. Also it’s body shell integrity was declared unstable. The ex-showroom price of Wagonr is 4.66 Lakh INR.

9. Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Suzuki Swift is the most famous and most sold vehicle in India. The hatchback car has a starting price of 5.12 Lakh INR. Global NCAP tested swift in 2018 and it weighed 1079 kg. It had features like seat belt pretensioner, driver side airbag, passenger side airbag, iso fix and ABS. It’s body shell integrity was declared as unstable and scored 2 stars in both adult and child safety ratings.

10. Hyundai Nios

Another vehicle produced by Hyundai is Nios. The Nios is a hatchback car and is considered as a compitetor of Swift. It costs 5.19 Lak INR and was tested in the test 2020. It weighed 1139 kg and it’s body shell integrity was declared unstable when tested at 64 kmph. However, it scored 2 stars in both adult and child safety ratings.
