In November 2021, TVS Motor Company saw a decrease in sales. Sales fell 15.50 percent year over year to 2,72,693 units, compared to 3,22,709 units sold in November 2020, a difference of 50,016 units. Total sales decreased by 23.19 percent on a month-over-month basis from 3,55,033 units sold in October 2021.


Scooter and moped sales declined year over year, but motorcycle sales grew. In the previous month, motorcycle sales were 1,40,097 units, up 4.92 percent from the 1,33,531 motorcycles sold in November 2020. In October 2021, 54.33 percent of the stock was owned, up from 50.47 percent in October 2021. Motorcycle sales fell 18.72 percent year over year in October 2021, to 1,72,361 units.

Apache, Raider, Radeon, Star City, and Sport are some of the TVS motorcycle models. In this class, the revised Apache RTR 200 4V has just been released, with prices starting at Rs 1,33,840 for the single-channel ABS variants and rising to Rs 1,33,840 for the dual-channel ABS variants.

Scooter sales fell 29.36% to 75,022 units this month, down from 1,06,196 units sold in November 2020, with a 29.09 percent share. MoM scooter sales declined 33.68 percent to 1,13,124 units in October 2021, when the share percentage was 33.12. After the Activa, the TVS Jupiter scooter was the country’s second best-selling scooter in October 2021. In November 2021, TVS scooter sales included Ntorq, Pep+, and Zest.

3Wheeler And Electric Bikes


Total three-wheeler sales in November 2021 were 14,380 units, up 32.53 percent from 11,190 units sold in November 2020. In October 2021, sales grew by 9.69 percent over the 13,520 units sold the previous month.

TVS Motor Company intends to launch a number of new electric vehicles, both two and three-wheelers. In this segment, the business presently only offers the iQube electric scooter, which competes against the Ather 450X and Bajaj Chetak. Over the next four years, the business expects to invest Rs 1,200 crore in Tamil Nadu in Future Technologies and Electric Vehicles.
