Govt has increased subsidies for Electric Two-Wheeler which makes them more affordable now.
To achieve governments aim to increase Electric vehicle sales in India Center has now increased the subsidies on two-wheelers. This will reduce the burden on EV manufacturers.
The notice was published by the Department of Heavy Industry on Friday. The subsidies have been increased to ₹15,000 per kWh, up by ₹5,000 per kWh as earlier subsidy rate.

This move will help more customers to choose EV bikes and scooters over the regular ones. Electric Two-Wheeler Manufacturer Ather energy has become the first company to pass the invectives to the customer by reducing the electric scooter prices.
Arther Energy has reduced in cost of the Ather 450X by ₹14,500 less after the FAME II subsidy revision. But, there are not many vehicles that will cover under this scheme manufacturers needs to have some parameters like minimum top speed, acceleration, range per charge, and consumption efficiency to qualify for FAME II benefits.
Also, the Electric scooter needs to have a minimum range of 80kms on a single charge and needs to deliver a minimum top speed of 40kmph.

Out of the ₹10,000 crore sponsorship reserved in the FAME-II plan, bikes are the biggest recipient, extraordinarily the e-bikes.
